Support Tables - Highlights

  • Lists of common items are maintained by the system. These lists (of records) are called “Support Tables”. They should be maintained by a very limited number of users (preferably one user) who thereby control(s) the consistency of the system.

  • Whenever an item is changed in the support table, the change is reflected everywhere else in the system (on windows and reports that contain the item).

  • Support tables are defined by you – you can have as many entries as you want (useful values are pre-loaded).
