I am the "little piggy who stayed at home". I still live in Ashington where I was born, and really never felt the need to go off adventuring. I've always had very strong roots in the area, most of my family are still here, and I'm not sure I would transplant very well anywhere else. As soon as my age group hit 50, the number of people getting back in touch having been away from the area for years was quite astounding, which just goes to show the pull of this part of the world. This is where Dave comes in, having reappeared around 2 years ago (in 2002) out of the blue. This CD is a whole new departure for me. I've always loved music of all sorts though mainly Folk-based, and although I've always written, writing song lyrics is a first. When not occupied earning the daily crust you'll find me either reading, writing dialect poetry, at the Folk Club or at belly dancing classes, supported always by the love of a good man and industrial quantities of tea.
